Save a public video without installing an app

VidLoad runs in the browser. Here is the copy-paste flow on a computer, and why we do not ask you to install a desktop package.
Why a website instead of an installer
Desktop downloaders exist. They also mean trusting an .exe or .dmg, keeping it updated, and hoping the extra toolbar it offered was a joke. VidLoad stays in the tab you already have. Paste a public link, pick a quality, let the browser own the file.
The tradeoff is equally plain: we can only see what a logged-out server can see. We will not install a helper that logs into your social accounts. That is a feature.
On a computer
- Open the video on the original site. Copy the address bar.
- Go to the download page or the box on the home page.
- Paste and wait. You should see a title and at least one quality.
- Click a format. Watch the browser download shelf — Chrome and Edge put it at the bottom of the window.
If the shelf never appears, open the browser’s downloads page. Some extensions hide the shelf. A popup blocker does not stop a real download the browser initiated after your click, but it can hide a prompt.
What we never do
- Start a download before you click a quality
- Ask you to run a “safe downloader” executable
- Open extra windows to “unlock HD”
- Keep a public stash of other people’s videos on our servers
Guests share a daily cap so the machines stay available. Signing in raises that cap. The remaining count shows in the product when you hit it — we do not print a secret number in this article because it can change.
