Supported platforms

VidLoad works with public links when they expose playable formats. Support can change when platforms update.

What “public link” means

A URL anyone can open without logging in, without a password, and without being on a private friends list. Quick check: open the link in a private window while logged out. If you cannot watch it there, VidLoad is unlikely to succeed either.

How platform detection works

When you paste a URL, we try to recognize the host and route it to the right handler. Always paste the full address from the browser bar when possible.

Platforms

TikTok — Public video pages. Region walls and rate limits may block some links. Open the post in a browser without signing in to test.

Instagram — Public posts and Reels. Private accounts and close-friends stories cannot be read. Multi-item posts may show more than one video.

Facebook — Public video posts that open without login. Private groups and friends-only posts are out of scope.

X (Twitter) — Public posts with native video. Protected accounts are not supported.

Vimeo — Public pages. Password-protected or purchase-only videos usually fail.

VK Video — Public vkvideo.ru and vk.com/video (or clip) pages that play without a VK login. Copy the address bar. Registered-only, private, and live clips are out of scope.

Other public pages — A public http(s) video page that is not on the list above. We try to fetch formats the page already exposes. Results vary. Login walls, DRM, and private pages still fail.

Qualities and audio

Available resolutions depend on what the source exposes. Labels such as 720p reflect formats we detected. DRM-protected streams and pure live broadcasts are not supported.
